I figured now that I have gone over each of the albums independently it would be a good time to get an unbiased review of the band in general. However, before we get to that, lets welcome the newest country to our listeners club. This time Sweden has joined the list of 39 total countries that have given us a listen. That is the second blog update in a row that had a new country added.
Apparently, I still need to stall a bit as progress has been non-existent on the new album. As I said above, now that we are through reviewing each album, it seemed worthwhile to get an overall independent review of the band. Though as I have said before, we have never had a negative review on any of our releases, positive reviews also seem sparse to say the least. So, I needed to come up with something else.
The big thing seems to be AI right now. I have been playing with it a bit for some simple stuff (I was not sure what I thought about it until after I read the review, now I know it is great). I decided to ask Perplexity IA for a review of the band. The response is below.
“Orbital Rhapsody, a music group, creates interesting music characterized by imaginative themes and a blend of various styles. Their albums, such as "Intergalactic Road Trip" and "Songs From the Silicon Heart," showcase a narrative approach, combining storytelling with eclectic soundscapes. The music features unique titles and concepts, often exploring themes of space and interaction with aliens, which adds a creative and engaging layer to their work. Overall, their innovative take on music production and storytelling makes their output compelling for listeners seeking something different.”
Obviously, it had some perspective (got the story telling, album names and other facts right). This is AI, so it must be correct. So, if you have not given us a listen yet, go ahead and give it a try. Not just do you have nothing to lose, but even AI thinks it is worthwhile.
Do the satellites interact with AI in any way? Perhaps the software might be biased toward helping more technological beings creating art. 😉
However, while I'm not as big a fan of AI, I do agree that Orbital Rhapsody does create a nice blend between different artistic mediums or storytelling and music and creates a unique experience. It's not something to pop on quite the same as one would put on a new pop album, but more of something you play to experience. Music that offers escapism is always a welcomed adventure.
